In Indonesia, dubbing serves as a crucial localization tool to make foreign content accessible to younger viewers and those less proficient in English. Through a qualitative analysis of online forum discussions, streaming platform reviews, and viewer comments from 2021, this study identifies key factors—including voice actor familiarity, translation quality, and distribution platforms (e.g., Disney+ Hotstar, piracy sites)—that influenced the viewing experience.
