The story revolves around Park Hoon, a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon who was kidnapped and taken to North Korea as a child along with his father. Growing up in the harsh conditions of the North, he learned medicine from his father and eventually fell in love with a mysterious girl, Song Jae-hee.
