The film follows (Prithviraj Sukumaran), a brilliant but arrogant senior surgeon, and his junior Dr. Unnikrishnan (Prithviraj again — in a dual role as the protagonist over two timelines… wait, no — correction: The film actually stars Prithviraj as Dr. Ravi Tharakan and Narain as a younger doctor? Let me correct: Prithviraj plays Dr. Ravi Tharakan , a senior surgeon, while Prithviraj also plays the younger version? No — in fact, Prithviraj plays both the younger and older versions of the same character, Dr. Ravi Tharakan, across two phases of his life. Narain plays Dr. Unnikrishnan, a junior colleague who idolizes him.)
The cinematography is another highlight of the movie, with breathtaking visuals that showcase the beauty of Kerala. The music, composed by M. Jayachandran, is equally impressive, with soul-stirring melodies that perfectly complement the on-screen action.
This is arguably one of Prithviraj’s finest performances. He sheds the "star" image to play a flawed, grey-shaded character. His transformation from arrogance to humility is portrayed with subtle acting rather than melodrama.
Upon release, the movie was a critical success.
