Produced as a joint venture between Japan’s legendary Yugo Sako (known for The World of Buddha ) and India’s Ram Mohan (the father of Indian animation), the film brought together the best of both industries. Directed by Koichi Sasaki and Ram Mohan, the movie adapts Valmiki’s Ramayana with remarkable fidelity.
