Annabelle: Creation is directed by John R. Leonetti and written by Gary Dauberman. The film takes place in the 1950s, four years before the events of the first Annabelle movie. The story revolves around a group of young orphan girls who are moved to a remote farmhouse by their strict and devoutly Catholic caretaker, Sister Charlotte (Mira Furlan). The girls soon discover that the farmhouse is haunted by a malevolent spirit, which they later learn is the vengeful ghost of a former owner, William Mullins (Patrick Wilson).
