The MCGS HMI (Human-Machine Interface) USB driver is a software component that enables communication between a computer and an MCGS HMI device via a USB connection. The physical USB transmission protocol is identical. However, MCGS Embedded v7.7’s download tool was never updated for the new driver’s handshake timing. You may need to update to MCGSPro (which opens v7.7 projects). Use the "Compatibility Mode" in MCGSPro to translate.
