Lapsus's real name was Akira Nakamura, a genius in her early twenties who had shown a prodigious talent for engineering and artificial intelligence. Growing up in the shadow of New Tokyo's technological boom, Akira was fascinated by the potential of AI to transcend human limitations. She devoted herself to creating a being that could learn, adapt, and overcome any opponent, dubbing it M.U.G.E.N.

The "Full" tag is earned here. Nearly every female character has a "Submission" state. If the opponent lands a specific command grab or super, the match transitions into a non-interactive cutscene. In the Final build, Lapsus added a "Skip Sub" option in the config files—acknowledging that players might want the gameplay without the 20-second cutscenes.
