Because SAP HANA Studio is built on the Eclipse platform, the steps to enable line numbering follow the standard Eclipse preference path.
Window > Preferences > General > Editors > Text Editors > Check "Show line numbers"
For new HANA development, consider migrating to (web-based) or VS Code with HANA extensions , where line numbers are always visible out of the box.
