The movie takes place immediately after the events of Underworld: Awakening. Selene (Milla Jovovich) and her sister, Erika (Sophia Myles), are on the run from the Lycans, who are seeking revenge for the death of their leader, Lucian. As they try to escape, they are ambushed, and Erika is taken captive. Selene must now fight to rescue her sister and take down the Lycan leader, Marius (Tobias Menzies).
