We want to inspire and engage with young people to explore careers in STEM, aviation, and aerospace to support and encourage their future career choices. Aviation and aerospace needs to be ready for the future and we need different talent, ideas and values to make that happen. We are committed to supporting the ambitions and interests of everyone to create opportunities which are inclusive and engaging for all.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) is the umbrella term used to cover work promoting those subjects in education and to young people. Our work in the area is primarily about promoting the broad range of exciting jobs and careers that are available in aviation along with the skills and knowledge that someone looking to enter the sector could require.

It has been recognised by the aviation community that there will be an anticipated shortage of skilled aviation professionals in the near future.

By promoting awareness of the aviation and aerospace sector, the variety of career pathways you can take and the subjects that help you get there, we aim to inspire young aviators into this industry.

At CAAi, we support several Apprenticeship opportunities. We currently support the following Apprenticeship standards:

Level 3 Digital Business Accelerator Apprenticeship – this is an ideal apprenticeship if you are looking for a career in business administration, project management, data management and reporting.
Level 3 Learning and Design Apprenticeship – this is an ideal apprenticeship if you are looking for a career in Training delivery, learning solution design and Talent Development.
Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship – this is an ideal apprenticeship if you are looking for a career in Marketing and Communications.
Level 3 Team Leader Apprenticeship – this is an ideal apprenticeship for those who already have work experience and are a new or aspiring first line manager. The course is designed for those who manage people within their day to day activity and have responsibility of people processes.
Level 4 – Regulatory Compliance Officer Apprenticeship – this is an ideal apprenticeship if you are looking for a career in auditing, regulation, or compliance.
Level 7 – MSc Aviation Safety Management, Risk and Regulation – In partnership with Cranfield University, this is an ideal postgraduate course available as an apprenticeship for professionals working in aerospace and commercial air transport industries. It provides a globally unique offering that relates to the regulatory background of all aspects of aviation safety, including design, production, operations, and maintenance.
