Mib Yr-104

An airport needs to connect a magnetic card reader (Wiegand interface) to an IP-based access control panel. The digital I/O on the YR-104 is fast enough to capture the 40-microsecond pulses of a Wiegand signal. The device then sends a UDP packet to the access server containing the card ID. This removes the need for a dedicated Wiegand-to-Ethernet converter.

"YR-104 was supposed to be a quiet observation post," the rookie muttered, finally getting his neuralyzer ready. An airport needs to connect a magnetic card

Pharmaceutical and semiconductor clean rooms utilize the MIB YR-104 as a zone controller. It manages damper actuators and receives feedback from differential pressure sensors. Many hospitals still run building management systems (BMS) that rely on these modules. This removes the need for a dedicated Wiegand-to-Ethernet
